The design of a new boutique hotel will replace a now-defunct restaurant to become the centerpiece of Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills, CA. This 8-story, 199 room Boutique Hotel has a contemporary façade, utilizing glass, stone and a light color palette for a welcoming presence. It sits on top of a hill between Ventura Boulevard and Highway 101 proposed to be the focal point of the area.It was important for us to include a community element to the design. Having spaces that can be utilized by locals as well as travelers gives the best chances of success and growth. The site allowed for the design of unique and intimate spaces including; a large banquet and meeting area, restaurant, two rooftop bars both with stunning views, secluded pool deck and underground parking.
