The team at Architectural Dimensions had the pleasure of working with OTO Development and Driver Urban Construction to bring Hilton Garden Inn to downtown Burbank, California. The site is located in a rejuvenated City core, blocks from large media and entertainment film studios. Existing buildings were demolished and new utility spines were installed to support development of the new six-story building over an underground parking structure. Centrally located, the new hotel has many great internal amenities that tie to neighboring shopping and dining.
The 104,000 sf, ‘U’ shaped building design includes meeting rooms, a library, restaurant, bar, breakfast buffet area and an outdoor private third level courtyard pool. The first floor at street level is convenient to guests and visitors within short walking distance to some great shops and restaurants. The building fills its site with facades close to the street that include some unique design elements that give the building a vertical emphasis. The tall first floor includes expansive glass areas that relate to nearby retail and open up to ground level patio space adjacent to the bar.
